It appears that DirectTV has also joined the party and comes up with a similar solution for its users, launches an application in the AppStore for iPad, which allow users to stream video from their homes to their iPads. The new DirectTV 1.3.1 is available in AppStore for free of cost and allow users to stream more than 40 channels content on their iPads.
As the application has not yet started making rounds around the blogs, it is reported by the users that the new DirectTV app is not available on jailbroken devices and does not support the devices, instead it forcing users to restore their devices to stock firmware, If they want to run and stream content on their iPad. In the last couple of months, we have seen many vendors use this trick to ban their content on jailbroken device but not to protect their data, just to get some extra attention from the folks. However, don’t need to lose your hope, because we have the most active hacking community there for iOS devices, who come up with a fix to the application within few minutes. Fix is here.
