Tribute To Steve Jobs, His Portrait Made By 4,001 Post It Notes And More

Our tech buddy passed away on October 5th, 2011 a day after the iPhone 4S was revealed and it was also reported that the he saw the keynote remotely from his house. He did many things for him self and the world, one example I would like to mention is of the iPhone. The iPhone was released back in 2007 when the only mobile rulers were Nokia and Samsung as the BlackBerry was also new to the market, that time. How did we got an iPhone well a book by Former Senior Vice President of Apple (Ex) Jay Elliot with Willam L. Simon “The Steve Jobs Way”, it had a wonderful line which was
He loved the convenience of the cell phone but hated the heavy, clumsy, ugly, hard-to-use phones on the market, and that dissatisfaction lead to his giving himself and the rest of us the iPhone.
Yes , its true, it should be… Well if we cant do any thing for them at least a tribute. Folks in Munich, Germany planned to tribute Steve Jobs by sticking Post It Notes out side the Apple Store which they did in a complete one day. In there album, (the photos taken were uploaded on Facebook) they wrote
[STEVE JOBS POST-IT MEMORIAL]
>4001 post-its
>400m ducktape
>6h work
>100% motivation
created with a mac, filmed with an iphone4 and edited with iMovie on a MacBookAir

This was a real hard one and impressive.. There were two more tributes.. One made by the MacBook parts and another was “Art Of Salt”, Jobs’s portrait by the Salt we would also like to share those with the video of the above tribute.. Loved them all and a great work !

Plus “Art Never Dies” !!

Last week after the iPhone 4S release, the rumors ended and it was bad isn’t but then we got one of the new MacBook pro to enter the market with the same dialysis as done with the iPhone 4S.. Yes, with the old shape but all new specs with in the new MacBook pro was said by folks.
Well, today 9to5Mac guys hooked over the Apple’s Website and they got some leaks of the new MacBook Pros because the refurbished MacBook pros are available and more stuff.
If you searchMacBook Pro” in the search tab of Apples site you will get the above list in which its mentioned “MacBook Pro Memory Model” shipping in November which means the next month Apple will start pushing unlocked iPhone 4S’s and new MacBook Pro’s.
And when you click any of them you get the beloved 404 error (Page Not Found). These links are for the MacBook Pro Memory Model
http://store.apple.com/us/product/ME_17_2_33_MBP?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY
http://store.apple.com/us/product/ME_17_2_4_MBP_PREV?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY
But after wards it was identified that “Memory Model” could be the 4 years back URL for RAM of those old MacBook Pro’s but we can hope for a newer MacBook Pro, whats so odd in a hope ?

An Increment Of Love With iPhone

Posted: by AppleWorld in Labels: ,

Well the first iPhone launched back in 2007 when Steve Jobs’s claimed
I have been waiting for 2 years.
At that time it was nothing except iPhone, the Nokia and Samsung folks were the rulers and the BlackBerry was just around there. Apple brought a clean, impressive capacitive touch screen in the market with sprinkling Multi Touch which mainly attractive the consumers before that the “QWERTY” physical keyboards were the devices for the rich folks but first when the iPhone released it was a real ‘WANT’ kinda thing and if we think now about the iPhone it pops up that why shouldn’t we head up for any other device.. Well, guys the other manufactures are using the Apple ideas.
A book by Former Senior Vice President of Apple (Ex) Jay Elliot with Willam L. Simon “The Steve Jobs Way”, it had a wonderful line which we would like to share about iPhone
He loved the convenience of the cell phone but hated the heavy, clumsy, ugly, hard-to-use phones on the market, and that dissatisfaction lead to his giving himself and the rest of us the iPhone.
The love was already with the iPhone, a device with
  • An iPod
  • A Phone
  • A Web Browser

When the first ever iPhone launched on June 29, 2007 it topped 270,000 devices which were sold in first 30 hours and on and on.

This is how the increment of love is described, the iPhone 3G topped 1 million sales after 3 days on, iPhone 3GS 1 million too, iPhone 4 topped 1.7 million after 3 days on and iPhone 4S topped 4 million after 3 days on….. It is recorded in the bases of a week too.

Thats known as love towards any thing which increases due to its want. Apple has entered the your lives
  • A Music Player
  • A Mac
  • A Tablet
  • A Phone
The amazing ones ;)

iPhone 4′s Battery Is Much Better Than iPhone 4S’s

Posted: by AppleWorld in Labels: ,

Folk’s the hot release in the market of Apple is the iPhone 4S. Comparisons, reviews, competition and many of stuff is rolling around the WWW. One of the issues seen out in the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S are the battery and antenna issues, antenna issues are solved in the iPhone 4S but what about the battery ?
On the iPhone 4S release day we pushed you out the comparison of the super smart phones in the market that how much longer can you hook up with them whilw using sellular datd (3G) in which iPhone 4 (CDMA) topped all the smart phones. Guys at iLounge compared the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S in which they listed
  • 3G Data
  • Wi-Fi
  • Voice
  • FaceTime
  • Video Recording
The result all over favored iPhone 4… Yes, iPhone 4 the battery of iPhone 4 is much better than iPhone 4S’s rather the hard ware is drinking up the battery of iPhone 4S’s of course it could and both of these iPhone’s are form AT&T.
iLounge believes

If you spend much of your day near a Wi-Fi network and only rely upon the iPhone 4S for web browsing and phone calling, you won’t notice a major difference—unless you’re thinking of switching to Sprint, in which case we’d be a little concerned. Similarly, if you use 3G data, plan to record or play videos, or want to listen to hours of audio during the day, you can expect greater battery drain from the iPhone 4S.

How to Use Your iPhone 4/4S Overseas

Posted: October 17, 2011 by AppleWorld in Labels: ,

If you think iPhone plans are expensive in the United States, try traveling across an ocean with one. We’ve all heard the horror stories: multi-thousand-dollar bills for forgetting to turn off the you-will-accrue-substantial-charges-if-this-is-turned-on slider, but what do you do if you actually need to use the Web overseas? We’re here to help.

AT&T

For those of us already tied to a long-term contract with AT&T, options are fairly limited. The easiest and most cost-effective way for regular long-distance travelers to get instant access to the web and email wherever they are (within a reasonable 100-country radius) is by adding one of four international data packages, which start at $24.99 for 50MB of data. Much like text messaging, global add-ons can be changed or deleted at any time, but be aware of your usage -- extra kilobytes are pricey, costing $10 for each 10MB. Calls are a little trickier and vary widely between countries, but AT&T World Traveler ($5.99 a month) will keep the costs somewhat manageable.

Verizon/Sprint

Since the iPhone 4S is a dual-band phone, global Verizon and Sprint users are no longer stymied by the less-prevalent CDMA network. According to reports, both carriers will unlock iPhones for customers "in good standing," which simply means they've paid their bill for 60 days. Once unlocked, you have several options direct from the carrier, including Verizon's Global Data plan, which starts at $30/month for 50MB (Sprint doesn't have a bundled plan, but they'll be kind enough to notify you when your roaming charges top $50 and disable it completely when it hits quadruple figures). Talking's a little more palatable: Sprint's Worldwide Voice add-on offers discounted global rates for an additional $4.99 per month, and International Long Distance Value Plan is a buck less than that. Of course, once the SIM slots are unlocked, you're no longer tied to the carrier's options...

Unlocked

When Apple began selling unlocked iPhones stateside this summer, a collective cheer emerged among all contract holdouts, but there were a few caveats. For one, prices aren’t for the faint of heart -- $649 for the 16GB iPhone 4S, $749 for the 32GB version and $849 for 64 gigs -- for another, it requires a micro-SIM card. Still-independent T-Mobile -- which missed out on the iPhone jackpot again this year -- has been known to brag about the number of iPhones roaming around its network. For rabid communicators, the provider offers a handy $10-a-month with all-you-can-make calls to landlines in over 50 countries, texting in 200-plus countries, and discounted calls in over 150 countries (i.e., calls to Bangladesh will cost $0.34 per minute to landlines and $0.42 to mobile phones instead of the usual $2.99 rate). International internet service is a bit pricier at $15 per megabyte.

Of course, if you want to bypass the major carriers altogether (or have an unlocked Sprint or Verizon slot), you can pick up a prepaid Micro SIM card from OneSimCard and save a bundle on per-megabyte overuse charges. Cards cost $44.95 (you’ll get a European phone number), with packages of airtime starting at $10. Rates vary by country--in the United Kingdom, for example, $25 will get you 25MB of Internet use (in 10kb chunks), about 60 sent text messages or around an hour of outgoing talk time (incoming calls and texts are free)--but consistently clock in under the major carriers.

Bottom Line

Before hopping onto a plane with any one of these options, you’ll want to figure out how you’ll be using your iPhone. Of course, if you’re already under contract, you probably don’t want to drop a bundle of dough on a second unlocked iPhone--but for the most part, AT&T’s and Verizon's global add-ons -- not to mention Sprint's vigilance -- will keep your monthly bill affordable.

There's no doubt that the iPhone is the best camera that's always on you. And with iOS 5, Apple has included many new Camera features that would make even professional photographers a little more excited to use their mobile phones to capture the moment. Read on for a look at how you can get the most from the new Camera features in iOS 5.

1. Quick Access

You can now access the built-in Camera application right from your Lock Screen. With your device powered off, simply double-tap on the Home button. You will notice a camera icon to the right-hand side of the unlock slider. Tap on this icon to launch the Camera app without even having to unlock your device.

2. Gridlines

If you have ever taken a photo and it was crooked, then you will like the new Gridlines feature. This feature places a 3x3 grid overlay on the Camera, allowing you to better line up shots before taking the photo. To get the gridlines on the screen, tap the Options button at the top of the screen, and slide ON the Grid feature.

3. Volume Up Shutter Button

When taking photos, you may find it difficult to tap the on-screen shutter button. Luckily, Apple now allows you to snap a photo with the Volume Up button used as a Shutter button. Now whenever you’re in the built-in Camera application, you can snap a picture using a hardware button.

4. AE/AF Lock

Now you can use the Auto Exposure setting from a particular angle in the photo by simply tapping once and holding on the screen until AE/AF Lock appears at the bottom, or you see a flashing blue square. To return to dynamic Auto Exposure/Auto Focus, tap once anywhere on the screen.

5. Pinch-to-Zoom

When composing your photo, you can get just the portion you want by zooming in using the Pinch-to-Zoom Gesture. Of course, you can still use the zoom slider by using the pinch-to-zoom gesture once on the screen to bring it up.

One of the most useful and annoying feature of iOS is the Spotlight, sometimes it’s really help you in search a lot of content on your iPhone & iPad but sometimes it turns into the biggest problem. Suppose when you are hiding some confidential mails and contacts from someone and apparently the person asks you to give your device to him to make call, and while trying to make call he mistakenly enters into the spotlight and all your data opens to him, then in that case what will you say to him/her?
Well no need to worry or imagine such nightmare, because we have a new jailbreak tweak that can save your life from above discussed accidents. “SpotRemover” the new jailbreak lands in the Cydia and aims to remove the Spotlight completely from the iOS, before the launch of It we have seen such tweak which only hides the spotlight but this tweak will completely remove the spotlight feature from the iOS, also this tweak does not add any other icon to your homepage and does not through any further settings to adjust it.   If you ask me, this tweak really makes my day. As most of the time my iPad uses by my friends and family, and every time I gave access to them I am trying to remove all personal data, but after this I don’t think so that I have to delete my data anymore.

iPhone 4S Now Available In Retail Stores On Reservation

Posted: by AppleWorld in Labels:

After announcing today’s massive success of iPhone 4S, it seems that Apple has quietly updates the “how to buy page” on its official websites, the new page is pointing users to the reservations of the iPhone 4S and saying that the new iPhone 4S is now available at the local retail stores but only by reservation of the device before the actual hookup from the store.
The new iPhone 4S buy page recommends users to reserve their iPhone 4S device a day before the actual purchase from the retail store, but it seems that Apple has also imposed some sort of restrictions on the off-contract reservations for the iPhone 4S, if you are seeking to purchase the unlocked iPhone 4S then you have to reserve it after 9:00 PM, so you can pickup it by tomorrow.
According to MacRumors, an Apple representative told them that supplies may  disappear soon from the retail stores, and Apple will point everyone to the reservations for the device. In this method Apple can reduce the number of users, who leaves the retail stores with empty hands. It seems highly unlikely that Apple would push away a customer who would come in to buy a device. Perhaps they’ll be selling the remaining stock to those who walk-in. Customers can also order the iPhone 4S online.

Apple Selling 16 iPhone 4S A Second, Almost 1000 iPhone 4S a Minute

Posted: by AppleWorld in Labels:

As we have reported few minutes before that Apple has announced the massive success of iPhone 4S launch while claiming that they have sold more than 4 million of devices within first three days after the launch of the device. This is the really impressive demand for the 16 months older design carrying device. Shawn Blanc, has just comes up with his calculations of the iPhone 4S sales right after the announcement of Apple’s iPhone 4S success launch.
Shawn Blanc claimed on the base of today’s morning Apple’s announcement, he claimed that Apple is selling 16 iPhone 4S a second, or you can roughly say 1,000 iPhone 4S devices a minute. Well, as we have said you before the figure depends on the Apple’s morning announcement on which they claimed that they have sold more than 4 million iPhone 4S devices within first three days of the device. It seems that figure might be expanded to more as the iPhone 4S going to launch in more 22 countries on the October 24.
Apple is completely in the air to achieve new milestone this year with the launch of iPhone 4S, as the have already reached new height in Stock market with today closing at $426. It seems that Apple could break the record of Microsoft’s Kinect with the launch of iPhone 4S. Here are the few aspects, why iPhone 4S gets amazing response from the public:
The success of the iPhone 4S is most likely helped by a few factors:
  1. The availability on three U.S. carriers: AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. AT&T and Sprint both announced opening day sales records on Friday.  The iPhone 4 was only on AT&T in the US its opening day.
  2. iPhone 4 was released in 5 Countries.  iPhone 4S was also available in Canada and Australia in addition.
  3. iPhone 4 saw serious product shortages while it appears that Apple made plenty of iPhone 4S’s
  4. There was a longer than normal wait time between the iPhone 4 and 4S
  5. iPhone 4S is amazing.

Apple Sticks Back On Samsung For A6 Processor Production

Posted: by AppleWorld in Labels: ,

The legal battle between Samsung and Apple has already disturbed the whole silicon market, as Apple trying at first to make some space from Samsung to freely sue them at different places. As we learned last month that Apple had signed a deal with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to build the next generation A6 and A7 processors for the future iOS devices such as iPad 3 and iPhone 5.
Samsung was one of the most identical manufacturing partners of the Apple since the days of A4 & A5 processor chips production for the iPhone 4, iPad and iPad 2, but several reports from around the world suggests that Apple has been continuously trying to shift his business to some other manufacture., and therefore they have signed the deal with TSMC for the production of A6 & A7& processor chips.

But now according to the today’s report of the The Korea Times have spin off the whole drama and claimed that Apple is still sticks to the Samsung for the production of A6 for the future iOS devices, while they will develop their processors from the TSMC for the future devices, at this time TSMC has not experienced such demand from any vendor and Apple does not want to take risk on its future devices.
The unconditional shift back to the Samsung for the production of A6 is said to be that TSMC having issues with the production process and Apple requires a stable component supplier for its device, as we all know Apple is also popular for bulk orders from its component manufactures.

Apple Wants Me to Use Yahoo on iOS 5?

Posted: October 16, 2011 by AppleWorld in Labels: ,

Something really unexpected happened yesterday. I was doing a Google search on my new iPhone 4S when a popup appeared asking me if I’d like to change my search engine to Yahoo!
Needless to say, I was really confused. Is Google telling me that it’s too good for me and I should switch to Yahoo? Or is Apple trying to tell me something?
I guess Apple is doing this in order to let new iPhone users know they have an option when it comes to search engines. This is a way for Apple to be fair to other search engines such as Yahoo and Bing, since Google is the default search engine on new iOS devices.
As far as I know, this is new in iOS 5. I might be wrong but I know I had never heard of that before. Have you ever seen this screen before? What’s your take on it?
UPDATE: And to the angry commenters, no, I did not have Yahoo in any other tabs, neither did I ever visit Yahoo from this iPhone before.

After the release of iOS 5 and iPhone 4S, Skyfire the top selling Browser for iDevices got major update today. Skyfire 4.0.1 was pushed out with many new features like iOS 5 support, improved loading time, and stability fixes.
Skyfire is the browser which allows you to stream Flash Media on your respected iDevice. It is mot popular and well known for its Video-Playback of Flash Movies and it re-encode the movies into Flash. From now on, it will automatically discover the related videos which you will be streaming and will show you the related videos to it.
Like if you are streaming about SIRI, so it will show you many other related videos regarding SIRI from different sources. Once again props to Skyfire because it did a job which Apple couldn’t do it till now from past 3 years. What is the job?
The job is not very difficult, but it was to introduce Flash for its iDevices. We expected that iOS 5 will bring Flash to iOS, but still now luck. The reason told by Apple is due to some security reasons they cannot port flash to iOS. That’s pretty strange.
Any how, who cares now, we got Skyfire 4.0.1 to Fire Flash on our iDeivces with much better support and stability improvements. Now not to waste your time in thinking about why Apple didn’t implemented Flash into its iOS, though they allowed competitor for Safari. Strange but true.
Skyfire Web Browser can be downloaded from below for iPhone and iPad.
Download Links:
For iPhone ($2.99)
For iPad ($4.99)
Remember, Skyfire Web Browser is the best selling and award winner browser for iOS, So every penny is worth it for it. So do buy it and let us know your views about it.

Right after the launch of iPhone 4S we are only hearing about Siri everywhere, the whole world is amazed by its work and developer/hackers are trying their best to modify it and to port it to other old generation iOS devices like iPhone 4 and iPad 2. Siri has win the hearts of the customers despite of few.
A really small number of people get disappointed from the iPhone 4S  Siri because of the non perfect chat with iPhone 4S Siri, or by not getting accurate answers from the Siri. As Siri is in beta and requires a lot of work to improve its work and misses a lot of functions. Initially the Siri is only limited to the U.S, and does not support any other location based services because of the Wolfarm and Yelp.
As Apple has announced back in the “Let’s Talk iPhone”  iOS 5 to be supports deep integration of twitter, which could allow users to tweet from anywhere with in iOS 5 and allows you to share pictures and videos to their followers easily. As Siri announced on iPhone 4S many developers and users are missing and saying on twitter that Apple to also integrate Siri with Twitter on iOS 5 and iPhone 4S.  In the other words they are seeking for such command in Siri which allows them to write a tweet from Siri.

Well at this time there is no tweak and way available to modify or add any custom command into Siri on iPhone 4S, but no worry thanks to the intelligent folks over twitter has just tweeted a way, which could fullish their wish.

How To Write a Tweet From Siri On iPhone 4S:
Step 1: Open Contact Book, and save a new contact number “40404” with name of Twitter
Step 2: Now Open Siri and say her to “Write a message to twitter”, than complete your tweet and send the message to the number.

Run Android Apps On Windows 7 With BlueStacks

Posted: by AppleWorld in Labels: ,

Have you ever wanted to run Android apps on your Windows 7 desktop, laptop or tablet? Even just to try them out or play around with them? Well now you can thanks to a new program released today from BlueStacks. It’s called the BlueStacks App player and has just hit the Alpha stage of development. It’s taken 10 engineers 2 years to get the project this far. The basic player lets you run several preloaded Android apps and then install up to 26 others, as well as sync apps from an Android phone to your PC.
Some people have reported that the app doesn’t always work first time around, but eventually once you get it installed it places an Android Gadget on your desktop. Clicking on the gadget opens up a menu from which you can launch an array of the pre loaded Android apps, including Bloomberg News, Drag Racing, Talking Tom 2 and Alchemy amongst others.
The applications can run in full screen using a new type of virtualization technology. Of course, the problem with running Android apps on your desktop is that they’ve all been optimised for use on touch based devices, so unless your running Windows 7 with touchscreen, you’re going to find it a bit tricky using a mouse and keyboard. While the app is currently limited to just 26 apps, the company hopes to lift it in the future with a premium version, which will also allow for the installation of premium games like Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja and Dungeon Hunter 2, as well as apps which have been designed to run on ARM based devices.

For now the app is only available on Windows, but they are working on an app for OS X as well

This is really a great little app and if it continues to develop I think you’ll find it’ll take off. Developers will be keen to get their apps in it as it will open up the whole Windows market for Android developers, it will also be especially good if they can get it working on Windows 8 as well which will probably find itself on a larger number of touch enabled devices.
It just goes to show, that by having an open OS like Android and Windows, developers really can do anything that they want.

In the morning we come across to the iPhone 4S Siri port to the Apple’s old generation iPhone 4 and now after couple of hours later, We are hearing that Siri is also makes it way to the Apple’s iPad 2. So now we have Siri on both iPad 2 and iPhone 4 at least unofficially, it seems that developers around the globe losing their patience to run the Siri on other iOS devices.
We have just learned from the developer over twitter that Siri for iPad 2 is under construction, as he has published the inside toggle and settings of Siri on iPad 2. The developer SonnyDickson, claimed and told that Siri for iPad 2 will be soon there but at least not officially by Apple. SonnyDickson over twitter has published a picture of the Settings > General > Siri

Right before the iPad 2 Siri port, we came to know that 9to5mac guys has also work on the iPhone 4S Siri port to the iPhone 4 with some developer, and has found that the application works well on the iPhone 4 hardware and confirms that there are no technical issues for Apple to leave the iPhone 4 behind. But according to them the port does not works due to Apple service servers because they cannot detect the commands from the iPhone 4 hardware.
But be in mind the iPhone Dev Team hacker MuscleNerd also confirmed the whole world that the new iPhone 4S Siri requires some files from the iPhone 4S filesystem to run properly on some other device and its a called of piracy, so they will not going to port the Siri on iPhone 4 or on any other device.

Why's My Mac Slow?

Posted: by AppleWorld in Labels: , ,

My Mac is running so slowly, and I don’t know why.

Seeing beach balls? Don’t get your eyes checked. Activity Monitor (Applications/Utilities) shows all the currently running applications and processes, updating in real time. Click the %CPU column to see how much of your Mac’s processor capacity is being chomped up by each process at any given moment.

The processes with app icons next to them should be recognizable as applications. If your CPU hog turns out to be iPhoto importing pics or iTunes syncing your iPhone, just wait until it’s done. But if it’s an app you’re not even using, go ahead and quit it, either from the Dock or by selecting it in Activity Monitor and clicking Quit Process. A dialog will offer to Quit or Force Quit; quitting is better unless the app is unresponsive.
Firefox hogs a lot of CPU power playing Flash videos, and that Visualizer in iTunes does too.
Processes with no little icons and less-recognizable names are background processes, and you shouldn’t go quitting them willy-nilly—never quit anything until you know what it is. Instead, Google its name to figure out what it does. For example, if your external Time Machine drive is being indexed by Spotlight with the process mds, mds will use a ton of your CPU while Time Machine is working. Don’t quit the mds process; instead, exclude that drive from Spotlight indexing (System Preferences > Spotlight > Privacy).

If you notice that iTunes is using the lion’s share of your CPU because you’re rocking out with the Visualizer on, turn off the Visualizer (Command-T). If your browser has a million tabs open and you’re playing Flash videos, either close most of the tabs or cut way back on CPU-hogging Flash usage with a blocker like ClickToFlash on Safari or FlashBlock for Firefox. If you’re a YouTube junkie, visit youtube.com/html5 to join the HTML5 trial and view available videos that way.
Activity Monitor shows that out of our Mac’s 4GB of RAM, a little over half is active. So we’re okay.
Back in Activity Monitor, you’ll notice some graphs at the bottom. Click the System Memory tab and check out how much of your RAM you’re using. If the yellow part of the pie chart (Active RAM) is almost the whole graph, consider adding more RAM.
